Yesterday, 03/06/2026, marked a fantastic milestone as we hosted our second Construction Jobs and Careers Fair in partnership with Vistry Group and Taylor Wimpey. The event took place at our Construction House and brought industry leading employers and our STC learners together under one roof.
The event was designed to open doors, create meaningful connections and showcase the vast opportunities available within the construction sector… and it certainly delivered!

A strong line up on industry leaders!
We were honoured to welcome 12 employers to the event, offering attendees real insight into career pathways and live opportunities in the construction world.
A special thank you goes to our key partners, Vistry Group and Taylor Wimpey, whose support played a major role in the success of the day. Both organisations bring invaluable expertise to the events that we host and our learners are incredibly grateful.
We’d like to extend our thanks to all of the other incredible businesses that made yesterday’s event possible –
Phoenix Gray Recruitment
City Calling
Eco Green Group
Aston Group
Statom Group
Lee Marley
Hill Group
City Site Solutions
OHOB Academy
And M&A Carpentry

At the heart of the day were our learners and newly qualified workers, each keen to explore career options and connect directly with employers.
Throughout the event, attendees has the opportunity to speak directly with recruitment teams and hiring managers, learn about entry routes and progression pathways, understand employer expectations and explore live available vacancies.
This face to face interaction is invaluable in today’s job market, giving individuals the confidence and clarity they need to take their next steps.

We welcomed the day with breakfast for our employers and partners, creating a relaxed and welcoming environment from the outset. This informal setting allowed conversations to flow naturally, helping to break down barriers and encourage meaningful engagement throughout the day.
The atmosphere across our Construction House was positive, energetic and focused, which is exactly what a careers event should be!

Events like this are a crucial part of bridging the skills gap within the construction industry. As a training provider, we remain committed to supporting people into sustainable employment, providing high-quality government funded training pathways and creating opportunities that change lives.
Overall, the day was one to truly be proud of.
We would like to extend our thanks to everyone involved in making this happen, from our key partners to the STC team that kept the day moving like clockwork, everyone had a huge part to play.
We look forward to hosting more events like this in the future and continuing to build futures.
