This course provides the opportunity to develop your skills in bricklaying and is ideal for beginners or those seeking accreditation in bricklaying.

Health and Safety issues
Understanding of how to select and maintain tools including gauge, plumb line, and level and how to use them safely and effectively
Marking out – chalk lines and mortar lines
Knowledge of bricks and blocks (and mixes, mortar and bonds) and how to lay them properly, including building a variety of low walls
Course Length: 2 weeks Accreditation: Cskills L1 Certificate in Bricklaying Funded Option: AEB if you are 19+ and claiming JSA, ESA or Universal Credit
It can lead to work as a labourer as long as you also apply for and successfully pass your CSCC card.
You could become self employed or work your way up to a fully qualified bricklayer by taking an NVQ qualification.
Our construction courses are also ideal if you are considering self employment as a handyman, facilities person or builder.
