This course provides the opportunity to develop your skills in Carpentry & Joinery and is ideal for beginners or those seeking accreditation in Carpentry & Joinery.

- Undertake basic carpentry repairs
- How to construct a frame from these joints
- Select suitable fixings to carry out carpentry work
- Measure, cut and install architraving
- How to install skirting boards using internal, external and scribed mitres
Course Length: 2 weeks
Accreditation: Cskills L1 Certificate in Carpentry & Joinery
Funded Option: AEB if you are 19+ and claiming JSA, ESA or Universal Credit
It can lead to work as a carpenter and joiner or you could seek additional qualifications, specialising in furniture making, shop fitting or interior fittings.
You could become self employed or work your way up to a fully qualified carpenter by taking an NVQ qualification.
Our construction courses are also ideal if you are considering self employment as a handyman, facilities person or builder.
